If you are interested in commissioning a piece, please fill in the enquiry form which follows this information. Alternatively, please telephone 0191 228 9888 or email info@ingridwagner.com and we will be happy to help with any questions which you may have.
If possible, it's a good idea to send samples of upholstery and curtain fabrics which are already in use in the room you plan the rug or wallcovering for. This helps us to plan a colour match. Also, if you are thinking of a rug, consider where you are planning to place it. For example, if it is to go under a piece of furniture, either partially or completely, you may not want to concentrate on a heavily patterned textile, as the effect is likely to be lost. And an area of heavy use will mean a shorter pile rather than a longer tuft, whereas in an area such as a lounge or bedroom, you may want to consider a more luxurious surface. We will be happy to talk you through some of these thoughts.
Stage One
We'll send you a quotation which will include the costs of manufacture and
the design fee. Artwork will commence on payment of the design fee
(please note the design fee is refundable at the point of completion).
Stage Two
The artwork will then be presented to you with colour tufts for approval and
changes can be made at this point. Once you give final approval, we can
commence.
Stage Three
A sample can be produced but only if requested (please note, a nominal fee
for this service will be charged).
Stage Four
When all artwork and colour tufts have been approved, a 50% deposit is
paid and production commences.
Stage One
The design is drawn full size onto primary backing fabrics specifically for
rugs, which is then mounted onto a large frame. The rug is then hand
tufted (where possible, you will be updated during the production process
through the use of digital photography).
Stage Two
On completion, secondary latexed backing is applied to secure the fibre.
The rug is then sheared to produce a smooth, velvet-like finish, given a
final inspection, and wrapped ready for shipment to you.
The production process is between 10 - 12 weeks.
Prior to shipment (when the order is completed) you will be invoiced for the final 50%, less the design fee. Once payment is received and cleared, your order is delivered by an agreed means of transportation.
