This specialist workshop gives you the opportunity to create your own contemporary textile for the floor or wall using a working method only available in professional studios. Ingrid is an experienced textile artist and designer who specialises in rug tufting. You will have the chance to train alongside her in her inspirational studio and to learn about the exciting world of textile design.
You can choose from a 1 or 2 Day workshop and request a date/s to suit yourself. If the studio is free on the date/s you require, we will be happy to book you in.
Please Note: Places are limited to 12 per workshop.
On both workshops you will have dedicated use of a rug tufting gun and your own canvas on which to work. All other materials are provided. On the 1 Day workshop you will be able to produce a small floor or wall textile sample to take away, backed & finished. The 2 Day workshop will give you the opportunity to produce a larger textile and to deepen your knowledge & understanding of the rug tufting process.
You will be able to learn about:
- Rug tufting techniques and operation of the rug tufting equipment
- Canvas preparation, backing & finishing techniques
- The use of colour and texture in creating interior textiles
- Intepreting your own creative ideas
- The inspiration behind Ingrid’s current textile collection, from sketchbook to canvas

2 days £160.00
Includes lunch & refreshments throughout the day
